How easily our human nature shows through in times of trial!... Israel was set for its greatest hour at Mount Sinai.
Moses was on the mount receiving the law, and all the Israelites had to do was wait.... The waiting got the best of them, however, and before the time was up, they had made a golden calf and called it their god.
Peter also was at his most important moment in life when is flesh rose up... With Christ being interrogated in a building nearby, Peter denied that he had ever known the Lord!
How do we conduct ourselves when our leaders are out of sight?
Can God trust us to be true to him even when we wonder where he is in our lives?
" Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway" (Proverbs 8:34).
If you seem to be in a holding pattern, remain faithful... The time when you think the Lord has deserted you is often the time when God is testing your true character.
He is observing you nail, so hold steady.
The Lord will return when you least expect it!
