Jesus was busy for God. His days were filled with divine activity in healing the sick, driving out demons and preaching the gospel.
Throughout his hectic schedule, however, there remained one constant: fellowship with God.
You must not get more interested in the work of God that in the God of the work!
" Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed" (Mark 1:35).
Such fellowship was the secret of Jesus power.
Spending time with God is like a continual recharging of your spiritual battery.
Those who fellowship with God are both able to listen to his new direction and enjoy his presence continually.
In Leviticus 3:1, Moses spoke of the fellowship offering. This was an offering given to the Lord simply to worship and love him.
In that secret place of prayer, the Lord will show you the next move:" let us go somewhere else – to the nearby villages – so I can preach there also" (Mark 1:38).
Drawl aside from the world, climbed the hill of God every morning and be refreshed, redirected and re-fired!
Daily reading:
Leviticus 1:1 – 3:17
Psalm 35:17 – 28
Proverbs 9:13 – 18
Mark 1:29 – 2:12
