The requirements for the priesthood were extremely high.
Priest were separated unto God and restricted as to do they could marry because" the crown of the anointing oil" (Leviticus 21:12,) was upon them.
The high priest could not even touch a dead body or mourn for a dead parent! the priest emotions, priorities and focus all restricted by his walk in the anointing.
For those of us who understand the preciousness of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, walking away from sin is not a difficult choice. We cannot walk, touch and marry as we choose.
We restrict our lives to avoid grieving the Holy Spirit of God.
Others may be able to compromise their lifestyles was seemingly no penalty, and but our choices all center on keeping his anointing.
We are devoted unto God – our lives are our ministries, and our callings are our priorities.
Christ anointing shone through is very clothing on the Mount of Transfiguration (Mark 9:3).
Demons ran before his anointing (v. 26).
Is it worthwhile to desire the anointing?
Absolutely.
Receive it, walk in it and minister in it.
Nothing in life is as precious as the anointing!
