What folly it is to trust in our wealth and boast of our great riches (Psalms 49:6)!
The psalmist described the futility of hoarding wealth, which has no power to redeemed our lives from sin (v.7,8).
All of the wealth we amass will be left to others.
The psalmist continued in chapter 49, saying that the rich will not be pampered forever in their mansions.
Instead, their bodies will rot in the grave (v. 14) and the rich (will take nothing with him when he dies" (v. 17).
Someone said," you will be dead a lot longer than you will live!"
We may be looked upon as full list for thinking we can sin treasures to heaven ahead of ourselves, but the only way we can take any wealth into eternity is to give it to God here upon the earth.
The story of the sacrificial widow clearly illustrates how God will reward us into eternity.
It is not the amount given that the amount sacrificed that matters to God.
The small amount we give may represent our entire livelihood, yet it is of greater value to God than great riches.
Just as each tabernacle offering was recorded in numbers 7, so each of our offerings are recorded in God's eternal record

We will find those treasures in heaven for all eternity!
